PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles Empty
PostSubject: PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles    PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles Icon_minitimeMon 24 Sep 2012, 23:42

Hey guys, just wanted to post my progress on locating the PSP and Saturn debug rooms and see if anyone has any experience or input on the topic.
I know I am a newbie on this forum, but I have been reading it for years. I also have been following most of you on youtube.com and your glitching progression, so I am up to date on glitching, codes and just about everything that has to do with Castlevania SOTN. You guys have done awesome on all of your progress through out the years and hopefully I can help in the progress for the future. So with that said, on to the topic...

First, it seems that the original PS1/PSX debug room has been removed on the PSP version. I have not done much searching for a new debug room yet and that is mostly due to me having to use the JPCSP emulator and it being so slow.

Here is a video of me getting to the removed debug room on PSP.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMo9foTeJrM

Second, when it comes to the Saturn debug room I have put many of many hours looking for it. I am starting to think that the programmers removed it as well on this version. I have gone through most of the hexadecimal coding on this version and have come up empty handed. I did find some other strange rooms that I have called False Castles and I am in the process of exploring.

Here is a video of me searching for the debug room on Saturn.

Here is a video of a False Castle.

I remember you and you're welcome here! Razz

Debug room is ever a big mistery...

You movie about the "false castle" is AWESOME!
Can you post a step by step of how to do that (software that you used + config + tips...)??

I never saw Alucard falling like that!!! Hey, dont forget that the both maps are linked... so try to use the "airback tech":

1-Fall all the way like you did on the movie;
2-Equip a Claymore (or other thrust sword) and a Library card on the third hand;
3-Use the special atk of the sword then hit the library card button;
4-If work: go to the IC and check your map (if possible post here!).

PostSubject: Re: PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles    PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles Icon_minitimeFri 28 Sep 2012, 19:29

I use a software called Cheat Engine, http://cheatengine.org/
This is basically a Game Shark type of device that can attach to any emulator like Sega Saturn or PSP.

I use the Yabause emulator because SSF dose not seem to work very well with Cheat Engine.

When using Cheat Engine on Yabause you must find a base line code.
Watch this video till 0:55 to see how to use Cheat Engine to find the base line code, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nXHIik_g0I

The base line code in the video is 022CCE8A,
If you take the code and change the last 4 digits to D770, this is the debug room/teleport code, so it would be 022CD770.

You can now enter the address manually into Cheat Engine, the button to do so is in the bottom right corner.
Changing the value of the code will change your teleport location, like 022CD770 0004 will take you to a different location
then 022CD770 0033. Watch this video and you will see me change the value and each time I will teleport to a different location in the castle.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4RcMOok4uw

For the teleport to work correctly you must use a library card or pass through a loading point in the game.

If you set the code to 0CC2D770 0031 you can fight Bloodlines Dracula like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5r85atDBD4

If you set the code to 0CC2D770 0045 and start a new game, you will be taken to the Fasle Castle
in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1U-8X9MlKbY

I have used a library card in the False Castle and it took me to the librarian, as it should, all of my
movements on the map were visible.
So I guess the False Castle is really more of a glitched version of the castle with no boundaries or walls

Teleporting to False Castles and other locations can also be done with a Action Replay Device.
I use the Yabuse Emulator because it has a built in Action Replay Device. http://yabause.org/download/

Here are the codes with others I wrote to assist in teleporting and locating False Castles.
nathan7878 wrote:
Well I finally figured out how to write Action Replay/Game Shark codes.
I wrote these codes on a Yabause emulator but they should work on a real Sega Saturn console.
So If anyone has a real Sega Saturn with a Action Replay/Game Shark, please test these codes out.

TELEPORT CODES

Use a library card to teleport with these codes...

Fight Dracula at the end of the game 3605D751 0038

New game plus, you will teleport to the beginning of the castle and all
bosses and treasures will be reset 3605D751 0041 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpMOgwSEcjQ

Fight Bloodlines Dracula 3605D751 001F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5r85atDBD4
To fight Dracula with Maria you must start a new game, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k2YI_U8jrQ

Changing the last 2 digits between 0-99 will let you teleport to just about every location
in the castle or let you fight every boss in the game. If there was a debug room it would be some
where in these codes, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4RcMOok4uw

Use these codes after you teleport Alucard to the Bloodlines Dracula stage and kill him or
when you start a new game. False/Glitched Castles can only be reached by this method.

False/Glitched Castle 1 3605D751 002D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1U-8X9MlKbY

False/Glitched Castle 2 3605D751 000D

False/Glitched Castle 3 3605D751 0002

False/Glitched Castle 4 3605D751 0022

There are many other False/Glitched Castles but I can't remember what the last 2 digits need to be.
So if anyone finds any other False/Glitched Castles can you please post them here.

Here are some other codes I wrote...

Character modifier code 3605C6D3 0000 for Alucard, 0001 for Richter, 0002 for Maria, all familiars must
be turned off, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYF7D2V7wFU , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiyUyAsxW0M

Alucard's Ultimate Healing Armor 3605C9B3 005E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6QXPL51Mcw

These codes move your position on the castle map, Horizontal 3605CE6F 0000, Vertical 3605CE6B 0000.

If you leave these codes set at 0000 and access the 1st False/Glitched Castle you can completely fill both maps.
Once you have filled both maps turn off the codes and use a library card.

All familiars max level
1605CA0E 0063
1605CA32 0063
1605CA26 0063
1605CA02 0063
1605C9F6 0063
1605C9EA 0063
1605CA1A 0063

This code will increase the amount of rooms you gain. If you use it in the Matrix Room
you can achieve the max map percentage of 4,556,908.7 in about 2 hours.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Bb9Of0QMhg

3605C5B3 FFFF

Weapon Modifier
1st Hand 3605C9A3 0???
2nd Hand 3605C9A7 0???
3rd Hand 3605C9AB 0??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tq2MfIfVNuM&feature=youtu.be

Ultimate Secret Weapons
No need to do half circle forward...most ultimate secret weapons automatically use the special attack with just one press of the button!

1st Hand 3605C9A3 00B0
2nd Hand 3605C9A7 00B0

Increase the last 2 digits by one hex to change the weapon...so it would be 00B1...00B2 or
00C2...00C3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p0UOq8DVxA

Very Happy

PostSubject: Re: PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles    PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles Icon_minitimeFri 22 Mar 2013, 04:42

This is a Action Replay glitch that I found occurs when two areas in the game try to load at the same time. The glitch can be performed by using the Action Replay code 3605D751 000C during the loading screen when staring a new game. Depending on the last digits of the Action Replay code, you may be sent to different default rooms. The rooms differ in size but not in there pattern of invisible blocks, this leads me to believe that this could possibly even be a glitched version of the Saturn debug room. cyclops

Maybe not because it is too much glitchy, hahaha

Where is located?? Does the map shows that rooms?

The Default Room in the video is in this location on the non inverted castle map...yeah, I forgot to show the map during the video cat LOL

PSP and Saturn Debug Room/ False Castles Defaul12

But I have found other Default Rooms all over the map...some small and some very large, like in the video.

Even though these rooms are far from a real Debug Room...if the game can generate different sized rooms with very

similar block formations from random locations with in the castle being mixed...it gives me some hope that a True Debug Room may exist
some where on SOTN Saturn...and not just a shitty blocky black glitch. lol!
