So with in the last couple of months, the PPSSPP emulator http://www.ppsspp.org/ was finally tweaked so that it can load Castlevania SOTN from the Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles ISO... previously, SOTN would not load... which sucked because the PPSSPP emulator is the best/fastest PSP emulator available, and pretty much trying to use any other PSP emulator to try and play Castlevania SOTN was nearly impossible because of there slow speeds and graphic glitches.
Thus, I only did minor testing before this point.... but thank god PPSSPP is fast and has very few graphic glitches
Since luckily, S1R works on PSP, I decided to start testing to see if PSP had a Matrix Area and maybe even had Matrix Stats Glitches... and I found that PSP in fact has both
So here are some of the things I found down in the Matrix Area on PSP, I used the JAP Version of Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and Cheat Engine for the testing because I need to know what areas will crash the game so they can be bypassed on a real attempt with out Cheat Engine using only S1R while in the 3 inverted bell tower.
These glitches are directly under the third bell tower... ( starting position/stats)
First, glitch is Alucard's window color changes and a value raises higher than normally allowed by the game, this also allows you to keep increasing the window color once it glitches...
Second, one of the button selections glitches...
Then 2 of the Joseph cloak color selections glitch to a value higher than normally allowed by the game, this also allows you to keep increasing the cloak color once it glitches...
Near the same spot we hit the Matrix area that increases your rooms number by just standing, we can see Alucard has gained nearly 2000 rooms in about 1 minute...
Next, the accessory item selection list glitches and we are able to scroll up past the accessories, and are able to equip Cloaks and Head Gear to accessory item spaces...
Also, in the weapons selection list we are given the NOW MAKE, and duplicate items with some items increase to having 65.
Then the Fairy 2 and Ghost Familiar's levels increase from 1 to 65...
and lastly Alucard's STR, CON, INT and DEF glitch... not a improvement except the INT, but there are most likely more glitch areas to improve the stats... also the game time has been raised from 7 to 71 hours.
and the search continues

So I am doing the real testing and ran into something quite strange...
I wanted to start the S4R testing from the 1st regular tower, and see if I could get to the Matrix Area with out having to use S1R in the 3rd inverted tower.
Check out these strange rooms at the bottom of the regular map

OMG! Weird! I never saw it before! Blue rooms unlinked with the main map! Can you hack and check like you did on saturn ver.?

Okay, checked and figured out this is just some type of graphics glitch caused by S4R... If you make a save file and completely shut down the emulator, then reopen the emulator (with out reopening the save state), the glitch will go away.
I pin pointed the exact location of the Super Matrix Stats Glitch on PSP with Cheat Engine, It is very far down, and there are many areas near and around it that crash the game.
So I will have to see if I can get the bottom of the screen to fall out to most likely reach the area... It is so strange that the Super Matrix Stats Glitch exist on Saturn and PSP, but not PSX

I decided to post this PPSSPP emulator with Save files and Save States just in case my computer crashes again... or if someone in the future needs a cleared save file, or wants to pick up where I left off. http://www.mediafire.com/download/t66d9s487jdrb7i/ppsspp.rar - This file contains, my normal Luck Mode Save File and my S4R Luck Mode Save File-Game Percentage 796.1- 7500 Rooms (This is the max game percentage that can be achieved with S4R in the Regular Castle Royal Chapel [Big Tower] before the game badly glitches or crashes)... All the Save States are in the Regular Castle Royal Chapel [Big Tower] 6 shifts from the game badly glitching or crashing... and here is the game, http://www.freeroms.com/roms/psp/akumajou_dracula_-_x_chronicle_japan.htm
The next step would be to move to the Inverted Castle Anti-Chapel [Big Tower/Top Left Corridor] and use S1R to start shifting till you hit the bottom of the map, and then use all 3 Left Corridors to try and bypass around the crashes to reach the Matrix Area, and then eventually the Matrix Stats Glitch Area.
The Matrix Stats Glitch Area is 9071 shift from Alucard's original position in the Big Tower/Top Left Corridor.
I Made it 1/3 of the way down while testing with Cheat Engine, then ran into a couple rows of game crashing areas that I was unable to get around. This burnt me out, so I will have to go back to the drawing board later in the future when I regain the will and want to do so.
I saw this video awhile back and forgot to post it, so not sure if everyone has seen it or not, but ZX497 found when using the Quick Save feature on PSP in the 3rd Outer Wall and conjoining areas, you can cause some strange warp glitches.
Looking at his video again, made me want to trying and see if I could finally Map the Room Coding on PSP with out it crashing, this way I could search for the Programmers Room again and additionally the 3rd Marble Gallery to see if they exist.
So, I finally got it to work and learned that on PSP the Programmers did not change much... The Room coding is nearly identical to PSX, with just a few boss fights added where there were once game crashes or Black Rooms on PSX...
But the part that makes me furious is it seems the only things they really totally removed were the Programmers Room and The 3rd Marble Gallery, and instead put this...
You can not open the menu, map or basically control anything, WHY, WHY would you take out the 2 cool places and leave all those Mirror/Copies of the other areas in the coding... Bast*rds LOL

This is crazy exciting, Something like this has great potential. it shows that single room shiftlines are possible to create with no screen movement. Maria can make shiftlines where alucard cannot. blown away.

first thing we need to know is what exactly causes the line to appear. the video shows multiple attempts but it seems its not the same imputs each time.
Does the dash back get interrupted by the attempt to save or are you to go into the save menu and then exit and dash back and this creates the shift. the video's seem to show both attempts. Normally to create a shiftline we need a pause and movement afterwords then game re-determines your actual position which was changed, which creates the offset.
Also we have already seen a shiftline in a 1 room width room so we know it can happen. The room with the gears you hit to open the gate. if you close the gate from behind it, you create a shiftline

Thiaguin said in the WBW forum that he does have methods for richter/alucard via a new method. So lets see what those video's have and try and figure this out.

Yeah, it would be a good idea to attach Cheat Engine to the PPSSPP Emulator and see what is actually happening... I will try to do this too, if I can get my PPSSPP Emulator up and running, it's been messing up on me lately.

I find the right way to do this is not necessary to use the bug backdash , I will post a video of how to do this technique works with the 3 , alucard , richter and maria

I had to use my other sh*t computer to do this testing and video (It's the only one letting PPSSPP run), so please excuse the video quality.
The best way I got the Save Shift to work with Alucard on PSP is to... walk up to the save orb, open the save menu, exit the save menu... then jump and right as you land do a back dash and then quickly press up (almost at the same time.)
I guess it basically locks the screen for a second while you are dashing, which causes the screen to off set slightly.
If you fail to do it correctly, the save menu will open back up... If you fully back dash, then it most likely worked.
It takes about 3 successful leftward back dashes to do the screen skip... and it always took me about 9 rightward back dashes to do the screen shift.
I did a little bit of testing on the PSX Jap version 1.0 and the glitch did not seem to work, I will check the other Jap versions next...
All PSX (NTSC-U) American versions should probably be checked (I think there is more than one version), since the glitch may be caused by an update to the programming... Xbox could be checked too.

wbw page should be working. i visit each day. not sure why. maybe dns routing issue? try going to the main wbw webpage and using the forum link to direct
so the trick is just attempt to save 5 times? and the line appears? nothing more?

The WBW forum is often down or buggy, its really outdated. I don't own it. it was put up very quickly many years ago and is not really kept up. There is a reason why the brazil board is used more than the WBW board. As for the WBW website not being updated is purely my doing, I really have not dedicated time to the website, its really not a high priority in my life. It will get updated when i get to it.

I don't update my site till i have the rooms myself, I have not gotten around to doing the last 5 rooms in the keep from Bug and yourself. Once i get them done (this would be a couple hours work to remember and re-read how these are done) then i will update. All of the information anyone would need is in the forum

I tested it on all the Japanese versions and I do not think it works on PSX, it seem to be exclusive to PSP.
It is actually very easy to do on PSP, like a said in the other post...

If there is a way to do it on PSX, it does not seem to be the same way as it is done on PSP

But how do you know when it works? I see absolutely no difference in the vid, even in the cheatengine monitor values!
If you can find the value of the screen shifting when the Reverse Heart Refresher Shift is done on PSX (I'm not sure exactly what the values is)...
Then you could monitor it when trying to do the Save Shift on PSX, since it seems to be the same one... and then I would know what value to search for on PSP, so I could monitor it to see what exactly is happening.
